A few days are left in Khelo India Youth Games. In such a situation, the state government of Assam is not only focusing on organizing it successfully but is also seeing it as creating a sports culture in the state. Its main goal is to make Guwahati the sports capital of the country and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has fully mobilized to achieve this goal.

During a meeting with Chief Minister Sonowal, the officials decided to organize a campaign called Village Olympic Talent Hunt for all panchayats in Assam. During this, Sonowal said, "The Assam State Government has approved a budget of Rs. 104 crores for the third edition of the Khelo India Youth Games. This competition will empower the younger generation and help them realize their potential. I am Prime Minister Narendra I would like to thank Modi for taking forward the Khelo India Youth Games".

The third edition of the Khelo India Youth Games will be held in Guwahati from 9 to 22 January. More than 10,000 athletes from 19 countries will participate in this event in 19 sports. The state government has approved the financial requirements for setting up 500 sports grounds in Assam. To encourage the efforts of the athletes of Assam, one lakh rupees will be given to the gold medal winners at the Khelo India Youth Games, Rs 75,000 to the silver winners and Rs 50,000 to the bronze winners.
