Veteran actor Sathyaraj, who played Katappa in the Baahubali franchise, has tested positive for COVID-19. In other news, the virus has also infected actress Khushbu Sundar. She confessed that she had tested positive and had isolated herself by sharing it on Twitter.
"Ok. After evading the previous two waves, #Covid finally catches up with me. I recently got a positive test result. I felt depressed till last night. I had a runny nose, took a test, and voila! Meanwhile, several more stars, including Mahesh Babu, Arjun Vijay, and S Thaman, have tested positive for COVID-19. Mahesh Babu shared the news with his followers on Twitter, writing: "Despite taking all precautions, I tested positive for Covid-19 and had just mild symptoms. I've been isolating myself at home and following medical advice."
He went on to say: "I urge everyone who has come into touch with me to be tested. I strongly advise everyone who has not yet had their vaccination to do so as soon as possible to avoid serious symptoms and hospitalisation. Please abide with Covid's rules and be safe. I'm hoping to return."
