Korean automobile manufacturer Kia has announced that its Kia  Carens will be on sale in India on February 15th, according to the company's announcement on Saturday. The three-row MPV made its formal premiere in December 2021, and the business began accepting orders for the new vehicle in January. The car has already begun to arrive at company dealerships ahead of the formal debut.

Kia India began manufacturing of the new Carens in January at its Anantapur manufacturing site in Andhra Pradesh. The planned three-row MPV or Recreational Vehicle (RV) will compete with competitors such as the Hyundai Alcazar and Tata Safari.

Carens MPV will be available in India with a range of powertrain and transmission choices. The car will come with a 1.5-litre normally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine under the hood. There will be three transmission options: a six-speed manual, a seven-speed DCT, or a six-speed automatic.

LED headlights, a completely digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system are among the primary cabin characteristics of the Carens MPV. It will also include an electric sunroof, a one-touch electric tumble function for the second-row seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier, and roof-mounted air conditioning vents. A tyre pressure monitoring system, downhill braking control, six airbags, ABS, ESC, rear parking sensors, and disc brakes on all four wheels are among the safety features included in the Carens MPV.
