After the Seltos SUV in India, Kia Motors will bring the Carnival MPV (Multi-Sport Vehicle). It will be launched in early 2020. The slightly updated version of Kia Carnival, already available in the international market, will be introduced at next year's Auto Expo. According to media reports, the Kia Carnival will be Toyota's premium option of the Innova Crysta. The company says it will come in the range of half or one segment above the Innova Crysta, depending on its specifications. It is 380mm long and 155mm wide from MPV Innova Crysta. There's enough space inside the carnival. There are 7, 8 and 11 seater options available. Carnival MPV is quite large in size. Its length is 5,115mm, width 1,985mm and height 1,740mm. Its vealbase is also 3,060mm over 3 meters, which makes it longer than the Innova Crysta. The Kia Carnival is expected to feature ample safety features including the company's connectivity technology UVO connect, large touchscreen infotainment system, two sunroofs, power-assisted driver seat with memory function and 3-zone climate control.
The upcoming Kia Carnival in India is expected to provide a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine that will power all four welv. The engine produces 202hp power at 3,800rpm and 441Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,750rpm. It comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Parts of the carnival will be assembled in India, while the engine will be fully imported. Because of this carnival will be a little expensive. The Kia Carnival in India is believed to be priced around Rs 25-26 lakh by the company.
