In his statement, Kia Motors India Head (Marketing and Sales) Manohar Bhat said, "We are seeing opportunities in South Africa, South America and South Asian countries to export to Celtos. However, the number will be low, because our focus will be on India," he said, adding that the demand for other markets like Europe and North America will be met by a plant based in South Korea. The company has already started production at the plant at Anantapur.

Celtos will rival SUVs like Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Hyundai Creta in India. The SUV is equipped with a host of great features, with an elegant look. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is equipped with the UVO Connect system. This will keep the car always connected to the Internet. The connected car technology features 37 smart features under 5 categories (Navy, Safety and Security, Vehicle Management, Remote Control and Convergence). These features give you a host of features, including tracking live location and controlling the car's features from outside. The SUV also features a 7-inch LCD instrument cluster, an 8-speaker Bose sound system and a smart air purifier.

For your information, kia celtos will have three engine options. These include a 1.4-litre petrol turbocharged 138hp power, a 1.5-litre petrol with 115hp power and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 113hp power. The three engines are mated to BS6 emission norms. Kia Celtose's booking is starting. The new SUV can be booked for Rs. 25,000. The price will be announced at the time of launch on August 22. It is expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 17 lakh.
