Kia Motor has removed the curtain from its first SUV at the launch of the Kia Seltos. The SUV was recently introduced in India. Kia Seltos will launch in India on August 22. The first Kia Seltos will come with a 1.4-L turbo GDI engine in this segment. It will get IVT, 7DCT, 6AT and 6-speed manual transmission. The Kia Seltos is powered by the ENGINE of the BS6 Violator. Kia Seltos has three driving modes. These include Normal, Eco and Sports.

For your information, Kia Motor has not given any details about the prices of its Kia Seltos. However, the ex-showroom is expected to be priced between Rs 11 and Rs 15 lakh. Kia Seltos features VSM, ESC, TCS and Hill Start Assist Control for safety. In the Indian market, Kia Seltos will take on Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and MG Hector. Kia has invested $2 billion in India, a large production plant where the company has set up at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh, allowing the company to do its own adequate production.
