Moscow and Kiev have reached an agreement on the joint provision of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and the delivery of medicines and food to the places of hostilities in Ukraine, said  Mikhail Podolyak, a member of the Ukrainian delegation for the talks between the two countries.

According to Russian Times, "there is a potential of a temporary ceasefire for the period when the evacuation will be carried out in the sectors where it is being carried out."

Podolyak said, the humanitarian aspects of the situation in Ukraine were covered in depth during negotiations between representatives from Kiev and Moscow.

The Russian and Ukrainian delegations reviewed all three blocks of issues related to the situation in Ukraine at the discussions, saido Vladimir Medinsky, the Russian delegation's chairman.

"We went over all three blocks of subjects in great detail: the military issue, the international humanitarian issue, and the third issue, the eventual political settlement of the crisis," he stated.

The positions are "very clear," according to the delegation's leader, and are written down point by point. "We were able to reach an arrangement with some of them," Medinsky said, "but the primary issue that was settled today was the question of saving individuals, civilians who found themselves in the midst of military battles."
