Kiku Sharda may be appreciating good popularity with Kapil Sharma's show TKSS but there was a time in his career front when things weren't going well.
Talking to an entertainment portal about the 'low phase', Kiku Sharda remembered how he was replaced in a day for the show Aaj Ke Shrimaan Shrimati which also starred Shruti Ulfat and Dilip Joshi.
He said the makers wanted to try something fresh.
The comedian started to doubt himself and it was Dilip who comforted him by saying, "It is not about the viewers. In production houses and channels they have a few calls which tend to go up and down."
However, after a few months the producers got back to the comedian saying they tried to try something different but failed. Kiku was happy to learn about this. He immediately called Dilip and gave him the great news.
Kiku owes a lot to Kapil's show which gave him the fame he deserved. He remembered how he was refused for celebrities dance reality shows Jhalak Dikhha Jaa and Nach Baliye before being a part of The Kapil Sharma Show and Comedy Nights with Kapil.
He told the entertainment portal, "I'll tell you being a friend, in the beginning when I used to see Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, I wanted to be a contestant on those shows, but nobody called me for them. Why? (I would be told) 'Kyunki aap actor bade acche ho, lekin aap itne bade nahi ho, aap celebrity nahi ho abhi tak. Aap actor ho”.
This disturbed him for a bit but after Kapil's show, Kiku got a chance to do both the dance reality shows and he enjoyed his time on both of them.
Kiku was on a tour with Kapil Sharma and the rest of the cast and crew. They performed in different cities of Canada. Their show The Kapil Sharma Show is going to return in September. Apparently, there might be new comedians and actors joining the fun team.
