Bareilly: A tragic incident has been reported from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. A woman strangled her 6-month-old daughter and 2-year-old son to death in a Matkapur village of the Bhuta police station area here. In the morning, when the husband asked, she said that Durga Maa has come in a dream and said to kill both the children. So in the morning, I strangled both of them.

On Thursday night, the husband and wife had a fight over something. The husband has then gone to his father's house nearby to sleep. When he came for breakfast in the morning, he came to know about the death of the children. On receiving the report, SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan rushed to the spot and inquired. Police has registered a case of murder against the woman on the complaint of her husband.

There was a quarrel with her husband over drinking:-
The name of the criminal woman is Jayanti. Her husband Betu Gangwar is said to be addicted to alcohol. There is often a fight between the two over this. Betu came drunk on Thursday night too, and fought Jayanti. As the fight escalated, Betu went to sleep at her father's house. It is being said that Jayanti's mental balance is also not good.
