NEW DELHI: On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that while the death of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moosewala was terrible, it should not be politicised.
On Sunday, unidentified gunmen shot and killed Moosewala in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the state government reduced his security cover.
"Whatever tragedies have occurred in Punjab, I feel there should be no politics surrounding it." "Punjab CM has already said they are trying their best and assured that the offenders will be apprehended and given the worst punishment," Kejriwal said on the sidelines of a visit to a STP in Delhi's Rohini neighbourhood.
It was earlier reported, in a recent terror assault, terrorists shot and killed a bank manager named Vijay Kumar in the Kulgam area of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. He was gunned down immediately outside his office door. The incident happened at the Ellaqie Dehati Bank in Kulgam's Areh Mohanpora. The attack was claimed by the Resistance Front, a splinter organisation of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba terror group.
