Seoul: Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, advised the United States to refrain from a "foolish act" that might jeopardize its security on Monday, according to state-run media KCNA.

Kim made her remarks after Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser for the White House, stated that the United States is still concerned that North Korea will conduct another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test after it fired an ICBM last week off its east coast.

Kim was quoted as saying, "The United States should stop a stupid act that could put its security at risk by provoking us. She rejected US requests for unconditional talks and asserted that the US is mistaken to think that North Korea's nuclear program can be dismantled.

"The United States is delusional if it believed that it could temporarily halt joint military exercises, deploy strategic assets, or ease sanctions and achieve irreversible disarmament," Kim said.

In recent days, North Korea has denounced a recent visit to South Korea by an American nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine and vowed to take action in response. It has also claimed that American spy planes have flown over its exclusive economic zone.
