New Delhi: The tension between farmers and the government over new agricultural laws does not seem to be proceeding to an end. The farmers, who insisted on withdrawing the three laws and enacting a law on the Minimum Support Price (MSP), are not willing to back down without any demands. On the call of United Kisan Morcha, agitating farmers are blocking the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway for 24 hours today.

Meanwhile, farmers arriving at the eastern peripheral have also started jamming. Farmers are sitting on the expressway and blocking traffic. In view of this, a large number of police forces are deployed at the Dasna booth in Ghaziabad. After this, they will also travel on foot till Parliament in May, a decision will be taken on the date soon. The Gurugram police have diverted traffic on KMP from Manesar to Badli from Farrukhnagar due to the announcement of a 24-hour KMP jam by farmers. However, farmers have not blocked the KMP coming to the Gurugram area yet.

In early March, on the completion of 100 days of farmer's agitation on the borders of Delhi, the protesting farmers blocked the KMP Expressway and western peripheral expressway. Meanwhile, farmers had stopped the expressway at different places for five hours from 11 am to 4 pm. Subsequently, on 26th March, on the completion of four months of Farmer Agitation, Farmer's have called for a 12-hour Bharat Bandh.
