Now demand for agriculture bill in Telangana has accelerated. Kisan Congress National Vice Chairman M Kodanda Reddy demanded the state government. He wanted the state legislature to pass a resolution against the agricultural bills brought by the NDA government at the Centre.
At a press conference on Saturday, state Kisan Congress chairman Kodanda Reddy, along with Sunketa Aveswar Reddy, alleged that the TRS government had a silent understanding with the BJP at the Centre and did not strongly oppose it when the bills were introduced. Kisan Congress leaders demanded rs 20,000 per acre of paddy. Besides, cotton and other crops damaged in recent floods are Rs. 30,000. They said the state government was not fully prepared to report rain and flood related damage to the Inter Ministerial team visiting the state to assess the damage. Kisan Congress demanded a bonus of Rs 600 per quintal on paddy.
While addressing the issue, Kodanda Reddy said, "The state should submit its report to the Centre before the team comes here. But the government has not prepared such a report," He said the Kisan Congress had submitted a letter from its side to the central team on Friday explaining the extent of the crop loss.
