Countrywide lockdown has been imposed due to corona infection. A mobile app called 'Kisan Rath' has been launched to overcome the problems of taking the produce to the mandis after harvesting and harvesting wheat. Through this, farmers can call trucks, tractors and other agricultural machinery on rent from their mobile app. This mobile app was launched by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar here on Friday. A total of 5.7 lakh trucks are currently available on the Kisan Rath app, which farmers can book according to their need. At the time of booking, the transporter can be negotiated about the fare, loading and unloading.

Through this app, the farmer can send any of his produce to the respective mandis according to his needs. Apart from this, a custom hiring center is also registered on the Kisan Rath app. Through this, machinery can also be booked for other farming needs. More than 20 thousand tractors of more than 14 thousand Custom Hire Centers (CHCs) are also registered on the app. This will also help transporters along with farmers, which both sides can take advantage of

National Informatics Center (NIC) has developed this application. Its goal is to help farmers and traders who are looking for vehicles to transport agricultural products from one place to another. Through this app, farmers can book vehicles to take their crops to mandis, local warehouses or collection centers. In the same statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, it has been said that this is a step towards providing competitive rates and timely transportation services for farmers and traders.
