Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Review: Salman never gives up on the story

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Directed by Farhad Samji. Co-produced by Salman Khan, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Vijender Singh, Raghav Juyal and Jassie Gill, is released on 21 april Friday.

Plot: Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is set in Delhi and Hyderabad and focuses around Bhaijaan (Salman Khan), who at a young age saves three other children (Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, and Jassie Gill) from a disaster-stricken orphanage and chooses to look after them. As adults, they defend their neighborhood against clever developers while also vow never to marry because, in Bhaijaan's words, "Humein koi nai chahiye jo bhaiyon ka bandhan tode." Nonetheless, they finally find love, which comes with its own set of problems, and what follows is a combination of drama, emotions, tears, maar-dhaad, and, of course, 'Yentamma'.

The main actor has long, flowing hair and speaks inanities about brotherly love and social obligation in the first half. In the second, he has a short mop but continues to talk nonsense about violence and nonviolence as the scenario moves to the large home of a South Indian family.

Salman Khan plays his character effortlessly and succeeds in the action and dancing parts, but the overall effect is limited. Pooja Hegde impresses as Bhagya, a character with the ideal blend of eccentricities, amusement, humour, charm, and emotions. In Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, she easily expresses all of these and more. Daggubati Venkatesh does his part admirably, and his important moment at the conclusion is well worth seeing. Every time Jagapathi Babu comes, he lights up the screen, however Vijender Singh's track is tedious and uninteresting, which affects the strength of his performance. Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, Rohini Hattangadi, Satish Kaushik, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, and Vinali Bhatnagar are all excellent performers, although some are better than others.
