Know what is Dekara and how is it worshiped?
Dekar i.e. Shri Harkali is worshiped in the evening exactly one evening before Harela festival. During this time, pure soil is taken from the courtyard of the house. Small idols of Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati, the first worshiper Shri Ganesh Ji and Karthikeya, etc. are made from this pure clay. After this, the work of coloring these idols is also done. After coloring, the idols of the entire Shiva family is adorned.
Culture worker Renu Joshi says that there is a great enthusiasm among all the people to make a Dekara. In this, children do this work with great curiosity. Everyone worships Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in front of Harelay and wishes for wealth. Talking about Prasad, Puri-Prasad is disbursed within the people, fruit, etc are also offered.
