Bitcoin prices have risen by about 1.3 percent in the last seven days. The Bitcoin price increase is being attributed to a price pump during Asian hours, despite the fact that the US market remained quiet in the aftermath of the Christmas holidays.

In the last 24 hours, Ethereum rose 1.49 percent to USD 4,022.34, bringing its market capitalization to USD 472.99 billion. This week has also seen significant gains in the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Popular DeFi tokens such as Solana, Cardano, Polkadot, and Polygon all saw significant increases of 3.45 percent, 4.06 percent, 4.70 percent, and 12.90 percent, respectively.

Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, two major meme coins, saw their prices rise by 5.8 percent and 2.4 percent, respectively. According to CoinGecko data, the global cryptocurrency market cap is now USD 2.39 trillion, a 3.3 percent increase in the last 24 hours.
