Doordarshan is once again airing 'Ramayana' and 'Mahabharata' between Corona transition and lockdown in India. The broadcast of these religious TV programs, which were very popular at the time, started from Saturday, while Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information through his official Twitter handle. He wrote, "On Saturday 28 March on the demand of the public, 'Ramayana' will start airing again on Doordarshan's National Channel. The first episode will be at 9.00 am and the second episode will be at 9.00 pm." In another tweet, he also gave information related to the broadcast of 'Mahabharata'. Along with this, Prakash Javadekar tweeted, "Two episodes of 'Mahabharata' can be shown daily on DD Bharti at 12 noon and 7 pm on March 28."

For your information, let us tell you that there is a discussion on social media that the shooting of the existing TV serials is not being done due to the lockdown, perhaps that is why the decision to re-telecast the Ramayana and Mahabharata was taken. However, the government has not made any official comment regarding this. The Ramayana, directed by Ramanand Sagar and the Mahabharata, directed by BR Chopra, became very popular among Indian audiences. Ramayana also gained more popularity among them. When the Ramayana is broadcast again, let's look at some interesting aspects related to this program. After the completion of 78 episodes of Ramayana, the audience demanded the story of Luv-Kush.
