New Delhi: The BCCI on Wednesday announced the squad for the ODI and T20 series against the West Indies. The selectors have given a chance in the T20 squad to young spin bowler Ravi Bishnoi, who has been bowling well in the IPL for the last two years. For Ravi is the result of his hard work and sacrifice. He left studies for cricket and continued to play against his father's will. Even with all the rejections, his confidence in himself has never diminished.

In the year 2018, Ravi Bishnoi had to go against his father's will for cricket. He was bowling in the nets for Rajasthan Royals (RR), though his board exams were about to start at that time. The father wanted his son to come back and give the exam, but Ravi decided to stay there and that's why his career took a turn for granted. Let me tell you that Ravi has not been able to give his board exams to date. Ravi had to face a lot of rejection before the Under-19 World Cup. He was rejected in the first Under-16 trials, while after that he was rejected twice in the Under-19 trials, but he did not give up. But while bowling in the nets for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, he managed to impress Dishant Yagnik, who was part of the coaching staff.

After which Ravi was selected for the Under-19 World Cup, where he took 17 wickets in the entire tournament. He was also the Man of the Match against Japan and New Zealand. From here the door of the IPL opened for him and Kings XI Punjab added him with them. Ravi is being considered as the future of Indian spin bowling today. Now in team India's dressing room, he will get to learn a lot from the senior bowlers and it is expected that this star bowler can also be given a chance in the final XI.
