Veteran actress Sridevi passed away at 54 in Dubai late on 24 February, plunging the entire country into a pall of gloom as her fans and admirers expressed shock and disbelief. The actress voiceless her last at around 11 pm following cardiac arrest. "Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor," the statement, issued this evening by the Yash Raj Films (YRF) on behalf of the family, said.

How did Sridevi's death happen? Important information about this has come out. On Saturday night at 11 p.m., Sridevi suddenly fell into the bathroom of the Emirates Tower in Dubai. After this she was taken to Rashid Hospital where she was declared dead. Later, Dead Body of actress Sridevi was given a forensic expert. As per the news source her dead body has been kept in Dubai's Al Qusais morgue.  

The Padma Shri addressee Sridevi made a comeback to Bollywood in 2012 with much acclaimed "English Vinglish" after a long break of 15 years. On the Silver Screen She was last seen in "Mom" in 2017. She along with her family was rushed to the nearby Rashid Hospital but pronounced dead on admission. Sridevi was in Dubai to attend the marriage function of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi. The funeral is likely to take place on 26 February, although there is no word from the family on this so far.
