Bollywood actor Koena Mitra has been jailed for six months in a cheque-bouncing case. This has come to light recently and her sentence has been announced. Koena model Poonam Sethi filed the case after the cheque bounced in 2013. Koena Mitra, on the other hand, had falsely denied the charge and sought to challenge it in a higher court. But now Mumbai Metropolitan Court Magistrate Ketki Chahwan has given him six months in jail, rejecting All The Koena's pleas.
In fact, according to the report, the court has ordered the act to pay Rs 4.64 to Poonam with 1.64 interest. According to information, Koena Mitra had borrowed Rs 22 lakh from Poonam Sethi. While repaying the loan, Actress gave Poonam a cheque of Rs 3 lakh. But it bounced. Poonam Sethi then sent a legal notice to Koena on July 19, 2013. Even after that, The Actress was unable to repay the loan. Poonam then filed a case against him in court on October 10, 2013. The actor had argued that Poonam was not competent enough to pay her Rs 22 lakh. At the same time, she had also accused Poonam of stealing cheques. But all her arguments were rejected.
