Friday;July 22, 2016:Captain Virat Kohli’s victorious century set India in a superior place on the first day of the opening cricket test against West Indies in Antigua on Thursday as India won the toss and determined to bat first.

Kohli was on 143 at stumps as the visitors reached 302 for four. He played freely on both sides of the wicket and posted his 12th test century and second highest test score.

On the other side, opener Shikhar scored 84 although Ravichandran Ashwin was 22 not out at stumps.

West Indies bowlers sweated hard for small reward on a level pitch but only leg spinner Devendra Bishoo managed three wickets for 108 in 27 overs.
