A three-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 45-year-old man in Kolkata, West Bengal. The heinous crime happened inside a bus. The accused has been identified as Shiekh Munna, the conductor of the bus.
The three-year-old girl and her five-year-old brother were playing near a luxury bus parked in Canal (West) Road, North Kolkata. The ball went into the bus and when the victim went to fetch the ball, she was lured by the conductor into the bus, who then bolted the gate while the girl’s brother kept shouting asking Munna to open the gate and free the girl but to no avail. He then rushed to his home and told his mother about the incident who later rescued the girl with the help of neighbours.
The girl’s mother along with other people barged into the bus and rescued the girl. The man was beaten by the people before handing him over to the police.
“We saw the girl lying on a bus seat. Munna had blood on his hands and trousers. The child's clothes were torn and she was bleeding profusely,” said the girl’s uncle.
The girl was rushed to a nursing home and later shifted to RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
