Kolkata: Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has expressed grief over the recent violence at the disputed site on the Assam-Meghalaya border. With this, he said that this incident shows the 'disqualification' of the CK Sangma government. In fact, six people, including a forest worker, were killed in this violence in the West Karbi Anglong district. Let us tell you that this violence took place in the early hours of Tuesday when a truck allegedly carrying illegal timber was stopped by the forest workers of Assam.

Expressing grief over this incident, Abhishek Banerjee made a tweet. In fact, in a tweet on Tuesday, he wrote, 'I am shocked and deeply saddened by the extremely unfortunate incident of firing in Mukroh, Meghalaya in which five innocent civilians and a forest worker from Assam were killed.' Let us tell you that Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, said, 'How long will Chief Minister Sangma allow Himanta Viswa Sarma to take Meghalaya lightly? How long will the people of Meghalaya continue to live in fear and insecurity? How long will this injustice continue?

Simultaneously, he took a jibe at the CK Sangma government in Meghalaya, saying, "Today's incident has exposed the inefficiency of the MDA (Meghalaya Democratic Alliance) government." Let us tell you that after the violence over the disputed border between Assam and Meghalaya, tension continues in the area.
