Train service between Kolkata-Dhaka to resume, see details here

New Delhi: The passenger train between India and Bangladesh is all set to resume on May 29, 2022. According to official information, trains running in cities between Kolkata and Bangladesh were banned in view of the increasing havoc of the corona epidemic. However, now the Railway Board has decided to run these trains again.

Services to be restored from May 28, 2022:-

The Railway Board has decided to restore the Kolkata-Dhaka Maitree Express from Dhaka in Bangladesh and the Kolkata-Khulna Bandhan Express from Kolkata with effect from May 29, 2022. 

The havoc of Corona:-

In view of the increasing havoc of coronavirus, the government had taken several necessary steps to implement the prevention of trains, fixing the number of passengers or physical distancing, etc. In view of the decline in corona cases in the country, many services have been resumed, after which now the restrictions have been removed from the movement of trains running between Kolkata-Bangladesh.
