Kerala-Cochin: K Sudhakaran, the President of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), slammed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the SilverLine semi-high-speed rail project, alleging that his main goal is to profit from it.
"We consider the SilverLine issue as a life-or-death situation for Kerala. This plan can't be justified by even a tenth of a percent. The Kerala government's claim that the project will be implemented is arrogant. The SilverLine's Detailed Project Report (DPR) has yet to be seen. The government has been deceiving the public since the beginning. This proposal will bring nothing but disaster to the people of Kerala. We will fight this project in court till it is defeated "Sudhakaran expressed his thoughts.
He slammed the Chief Minister, saying, "What document does the Chief Minister have in his hands to persuade the people? This administration has set a goal for itself. What is the Chief Minister's agenda? The Chief Minister is pursuing an agenda that is not transparent and dishonest. This Chief Minister has a distinct advantage over his peers: he has a degree in purchasing commission."
"His purpose, we suspect, is to urge the Commission to approve this project. If not, he must persuade us. Pinarayi Vijayan is a dictator, right? The CPIM is a degenerative political party whose policies change on a regular basis "he said.
