LOS ANGELES: When actress Kristen Bell used magic mushrooms for her birthday, she was open with her small children.

According to femalefirst.co.uk, the "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" actress decided to be honest with her daughters, Delta, 7, and Lincoln, 9, after recalling celebrating her 40th birthday by using hallucinogens.

"We've always been pretty honest with our kids," she said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "I had never actually done any drugs and I wanted to try mushrooms for my 40th birthday."

So I tried it when my spouse bought them for me. And we discussed it with our children. When one of the girls told their grandma, who is more talkative than Kristen, the situation backfired considerably.

The 42-year-old celebrity said, "I overheard my daughter telling my mum and grandparents that my mom really wanted to try mushrooms.

And as I passed, I exclaimed, "Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh." For some reason, I was more concerned about telling my mom than my kid. There was no chance, according to Kristen, that her kids would misunderstand the variety of mushrooms she chose to consume.

"Their dad is in recovery, so he's extremely honest about what alcohol does to your body, how it makes you feel odd, and how it hampers things," she said, adding that. What drugs do to your body, why the majority of drugs are outlawed, etc. And she is fine with his parenting their children with that level of honesty.

He has pledged to play a significant role in both our marriage and the lives of our children. He is a true achiever. I received no complaints. In the meantime, Kristen recently disclosed how her kids keep her grounded after a day at work.

The number of insults they may hurl at me in a very short period of time, she jokingly observed. It brings me back to reality in a big way. We're talking about work when I get home from a day like today, which is really nice and fancy, and I've applied my makeup. However, they'll just swiftly pull the rug out from under you.

"My Kids Keep Me Grounded!" would be the title of my autobiography.
