MUMBAI: Actress Kriti Sanon of "Bhediya" recalled singing "Tu Kitni Achi Hai" to her mother as a young child. The "Bareilly Ki Barfi" actress also referred to her mother as a "superwoman" since she never left her side and encouraged her to advance in life.

After seeing Debosmita Roy play the famous song "Tu Kitni Achi Hai" from the 1968 movie "Raja Aur Runk," the 32-year-old actress broke down in tears and discussed the significance of her mother Geeta Sanon and how her words have always inspired her.

"Your voice is so lovely, Debo, it has a purity," Kriti exclaimed. I just saw how emotional your mother is as I was looking at her. She seems to be quite powerful on the inside, and I believe that all mothers are strong women who go unnoticed. In my younger years, I referred to my mother as a "Superwoman."

Kriti is travelling to promote her comedy-horror movie with her 'Bhediya' co-star Varun Dhawan. The protagonist of the story is Bhaskar, played by Varun, who transforms into a wolf at full moons. Kriti Sanon recalled memories of her mother and how she used to sing the same song for her mother as the star cast loved the contestants' performances on the "Thank You Maa" special episode.

\She said, "She could do anything and everything for me and I used to always wonder where she got so much energy. Whether it was my school examinations, she used to make sure I am to school on time, she took me to dance classes, and she could do anything for me." I was taken back to my early years by the way you sung. My sister and I used to sing this song for our mother when we were young.

It airs on Sony Entertainment Television as "Indian Idol 13."
