Kamaal R Khan, the self-proclaimed critic these days is in the news as he was arrested by Mumbai Police. The actor was granted bail by a Mumbai court on Tuesday.  The film critic was arrested in connection with a 2021 molestation case registered against him by Versova police but even after Bail He will remain in jail, as his bail plea is pending before the Borivali magistrate court in another case from 2020 related to his alleged derogatory tweets about Late actor Rishi Kapoora and Irfaan Khan.

The molestation case against KRK was reportedly registered in June 2021 based on the complaint of a 27-year-old woman. The complainant had alleged that KRK had called her to his bungalow in Versova on the pretext of offering her the lead role in a film.

The only actor who came in his support is Shatrugan Sinha. As Shartrugan Sinha took to the twitter and extended support. He wrote, “One should not forget that Kamal Rashid Khan @kamaalrkhan and one should always remember that despite great opposition and struggle the ‘KRK’ is a self made man, he has the blessings of the Almighty. He has made his place in the film industry, as well as society on his own,"

He further added, “His biggest asset has been his confidence, he seems to speak without any fear or favour. He doesn’t shudder to speak his mind against all odds as he has the conviction & freedom of opinion/speech of any kind, within the framework of law/constitution, even if not accepted. He seems to be a victim of conspiracy of circumstances. God Bless him! Hope, wish & pray that Kamal Rashid Khan gets justice which he deserves soon, sooner the better. Jai Hind!"
