Telangana-Hyderabad: On the eighth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promise of "Acche Din," Telangana Industry and Commerce Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR)  criticized him.

"Dear Modi Ji, 8 years ago on this exact day, you promised Achhe Din," wrote the working president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Twitter, referring to PM Modi's tweet from May 16, 2014.

He continued by saying, "What your government has delivered: the lowest rupee (against the dollar) in 45 years, the worst unemployment in 30 years, the highest inflation in 30 years, the world's highest LPG price, and the worst economy in 42 years. Well done, Sir."

KTR had previously chastised the Centre for requesting states to decrease fuel VAT (value-added tax) and urged that the Cess on petrol and diesel be abolished across the country.

The TRS leader blamed the BJP-led government at the Centre for the rise in fuel and diesel prices.
