Hyderabad: India's first 100 percent women-owned industrial park, the 'FLO Industrial Park,' opened in Hyderabad with 25 green projects.

According to a statement, FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) is promoting India's first 100 percent women-owned FLO Industrial Park in Hyderabad in collaboration with the Telangana government. To mark International Women's Day, 25 women-owned and run units from 16 different Green Category Industries began operations in the Park.

The 50-acre FLO Industrial Park in Hyderabad, built with a Rs 250-crore investment, is the Flagship project and the first of its sort on a national scale, with participation open to Chapter Members as well as FLO national members. Women entrepreneurs have already expressed a strong desire to run and operate their businesses from the park.

During his inauguration speech, Minister KT Rama Rao challenged entrepreneurs to think large and start thinking about upcoming technologies. Focus on aerospace, defence, and food processing, as well as global collaboration. He pledged additional 100 acres for the growth of FLO ladies industrial park, subject to the park emphasis on new items. Women entrepreneurs should be eligible for an additional 10% subsidy.
