The International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, the Netherlands, is scheduled to pronounce its verdict today in the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian national imprisoned in Pakistan on charges of espionage. A team of legal experts from Pakistan has arrived in The Hague for the occasion. Jadhav was sentenced to death in April 2017 by a Pakistani military court accusing him of alleged espionage. On India's appeal, the ICJ had ordered a stay on Jadhav's execution till the verdict was pronounced.

According to reports, Pakistan's legal team is led by the country's Attorney General Mansoor Khan. Pakistan State Department spokesman Mohammad Faisal has also arrived in The Hague along with the team. In the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, India hopes the International Court of Justice (ICJ) will pronounce its verdict today. The verdict will be pronounced at 6.30 p.m. Indian time. The ICJ, according to Pakistani legal experts, will reject the Indian request for the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Kulbhushan Jadhav, a retired Indian Navy officer, is currently jailed in Pakistani. Kulbhushan was arrested by Pakistani security forces from Balochistan on Charges of Espionage and Terrorism on March 3, 2016. Jadhav's mother and wife went to Pakistan in December 2017. India had alleged that Jadhav's mother and wife meeting in Pakistan was horrified. Now the International Court of Justice is going to pronounce its verdict in this case.
