There are some films in the history of Bollywood films that people remember not because of heroes but because of villains. Who can forget the villain 'Shakal' of the film 'Shaan'? The iconic role was revived by veteran Bollywood actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda with his acting. Kulbhushan played all kinds of roles in his long career, but even today his biggest identity is associated with Shakal.

Born in Punjab on October 21, 1944, Kulbhushan Kharbanda studied at Kirodimal College in Delhi. He stayed in Delhi for a long time. Although he had a passion for art since childhood, he was shocked by plays during college. In an interview, the actor had said that after completing his studies, he had started a theatre group called 'Abhiyan' in Delhi with friends. Also started another theatre group 'Yantrik.'

He did a lot of theatre before appearing in the same films. Kulbhushan had also played several plays for 'Padatik,' the institution of the great Kolkata painter Shyamanand Jalan. He has done many famous plays like 'Sakharam Binder,' 'Autobiography,' 'Baqi Itihaas,' 'Ginping' etc. Popular director Shyam Benegal was convinced of his acting style. At his behest, Kulbhushan came to Mumbai in the 70s. And started his film journey. He did several films with Shyam Benegal, including 'Nishant,' 'Manthan,' 'Bhumika,' 'Junoon,' 'Kalyug,' 'Trikal,' and 'Mandi' etc.
