New Delhi: In Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal government, Health Minister Satyendar Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday evening. Media reports quoted an official as saying that Jain was arrested in a case of hawala transactions related to a company based in Kolkata. Kejriwal's old friend and poet Kumar Vishwas has reacted with a taunt to this arrest.

Kumar Vishwas, who was a founding member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), wrote in a tweet regarding the arrest of Satyendra Jain, 'When this case came for the first time, I had asked Satyendra Jain to answer in the filled PAC. This arrest has happened in a case of hawala transactions related to a company based in Kolkata. In fact, a month before this action, the ED had attached assets worth Rs 4.81 crore of Satyendar Jain. After this, now ED arrested him on 30 May 2022. The probe agency says that Satyendra Jain has used the hawala money to buy land and farmland near Delhi. Along with this, Jain also repaid his loan with this money. This money laundering case against Jain is related to a case filed by the CBI in 2017.
