Leh: The total death toll due to infection in Ladakh has reached 200 after the death of another patient from the Corona virus. The number of active cases has come down to 482, with 348 in Leh and 134 in Kargil. During the 24-hour period, 77 more patients recovered.
Health officials said that a new death was reported from Kargil on Thursday, taking the death toll in the district to 57. Officials said the rest of corona died in 143 Leh. Out of the new cases, 11-11 cases were detected in Leh and Kargil. This was followed by a total number of cases in the districts to 16,254 and 3,450 respectively. Officials said 63 patients in Leh and 14 in Kargil were discharged after treatment. The number of recover patients has gone up to 19,22.
The Lieutenant Governor's administration had declared both Leh and Kargil districts as red zones and asked them to issue strict SOP. The Kargil district has been again locked down from Saturday to June 30. There have been 368 active cases of corona infected people in Ladakh. Out of these, 68 are in Leh and 300 in Kargil district.
