Leh: 235 new cases of corona infection have been registered in Ladakh. While 2 people have lost their lives in the meantime. According to information provided by health department officials, the total number of infection cases in the Union Territory has crossed 18,000, with more than 16 recovering. There have been 181 lives lost from Corona so far, while the number of active cases is 1,664.

The death toll in Ladakh rose to 181 on Wednesday after the corona virus killed two people. With 235 more new cases coming to light, the number of infected people in the Union Territory increased to 18,045. Officials said on Thursday that one patient each in Leh and Kargil died of infection. He said that so far 132 people have died of infection in Leh and 49 in Kargil.

Citing the health bulletin, officials said that out of 235 new cases, 196 cases were reported from Leh and 39 from Kargil. He informed that 1,664 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the Union Territory, out of which 1,443 are active cases of Leh and 221 in Kargil. Officials said the number of people who were infection-free in the Union Territory increased to 16,200 after 130 people recovered.
