Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) was rocked On Sunday afternoon when a female doctor reported the suicide of a student in a hostel. News of the residency doctor's suicide in the hostel spread like a fire throughout the university. The student was reportedly in depression due to TV disease. She was not even going to class for several days, after which she took this suicidal step.

The body of the girl has been taken to a post mortem and a suicide note has been recovered from the spot. BHU doctor Sunita said that when the hostel's caretaker called her, she saw that the girl's room was open. Manisha studied in the Department of Apthelmology in the third year. Manisha had been sick for a few days since she had a TB complaint. When Dr. Sunita reached the hostel, she was told that Manisha had been sued.

Bhelupur CO Anil Kumar, who arrived on the spot, said that Sunita had committed suicide in the 41st room at lady doctor hostel in BHU, it was reported to the police. When the police reached the hostel, two suicide notes were recovered. Seeing the body seemed to have been hanged at night itself. The disease is mentioned in the suicide note. Prima facie it looks like he has taken such a step because of depression. Police have informed the family in Jamui in Bihar and the rest of the case is under investigation.
