Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said that whoever saw the video of the Lakhimpur incident has condemned the incident after Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, appeared before the police on Saturday. This is a government that crushes the Constitution. Everyone saw everything, yet haven't caught the culprit yet. All the families I met asked for the guilty to be severely punished.

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav further said that the government is still sleeping and the government is still trying to save the culprits. This government is only for powerful people, this government is not for farmers. The people are watching all this, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be wiped out in the near future. Earlier, Akhilesh, while meeting the families of two farmers killed in the violence on Friday, said that the government wants to run the state on the strength of the police.

At the same time, Akhilesh said that the days of the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh are being counted. The SP chief questioned why the government is delaying the justice even after videos of Lakhimpur Kheri violence surfaced and witnesses recorded statements.
