Gorakhpur: CM Yogi Adityanath today said it is not right to compare Gorakhpur and Lucknow in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Lucknow is the centre of operation of the state system and Gorakhpur is the centre of my spiritual energy. CM Yogi said that we sincerely conveyed the presence of the state government from village to village and from house to house. He said the BJP had named the election manifesto lok kalyan sankalp patra just before the elections. We are happy that the BJP has implemented its resolution letter in letter and spirit. UP has regained its lost glory.

On Lakhimpur Kheri violence, CM Yogi said that the incident is very sad and unfortunate. The government is going to the bottom of it and investigating it. Violence does not have a place in a democracy. No matter what the law is, the law will treat everyone equally. But the high court's ruling is that there should be enough evidence before the arrest. We will not arrest anyone only on charges. We have arrested everyone after getting evidence, whether it is BJP's MLA or leader of opposition.

When asked if all opposition leaders, including the Congress, alleged that he was prevented from going to Lakhimpur, CM Yogi said that we registered FIR on the basis of a complaint. Those of our opposition were not messengers of goodwill. Once the investigation is over, everything will be clear.
