Lakhimpur violence: UP SIT files chargesheet in court, reveals big about Ashish Mishra

Lucknow:Uttar Pradesh SIT has filed a chargesheet in the L Khimpur violence case. According to sources, in the 5,000-page chargesheet, SIT has named Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, as the main accused. Not only that, according to SIT, Ashish was present on the spot during the violence. Earlier, SIT approached the Lucknow court with a 5,000-page chargesheet in an iron box.

Police have also named another relative of Ashish Mishra as an accused in the chargesheet. According to police, Virendra Shukla has been accused of hiding evidence. One of the two vehicles running behind Ashish Mishra's Thar jeep was Virendra's Scorpio. Shukla had first hidden his Scorpio and told him the other's car. All the 13 accused including the main accused Ashish Mishra are in jail in the case. Police have added a new name Virendra Shukla to the chargesheet. Virendra is accused of conspiracy to erase evidence under Section 201. Virendra is a relative of Union Minister Ajay Mishra.

On October 3, 8 people, including 4 farmers, were killed in violence in Tikunia, Lakhimpur. It is alleged that Ashish Mishra alias Monu, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, trampled the farmers with his jeep. Four people, including Ashish's driver, were then beaten to death by an angry mob.
