World Championship bronze medalist Lakshya Sen has to be content with a silver medal in the German Open Super 300 tournament. He has had to face defeat at the hands of Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsern in the title match. Lakshya also lost in straight sets 18-21, 15-21.
India's badminton sensation, 20-year-old Lakshya, has also created an uproar by performing brilliantly in the semi-finals earlier. Indian player defeated Tokyo Olympic gold medalist and world No. 1 player Viktor Axelsen of Denmark 21-13, 12-21, 22-20 in a tight match.
