Lakshya Sen an uprising Badminton player enrolled to play in SaarLorLux Open in Germany has pulled out of the event after his coach DK Sen tested positive for Covid-19. Indian men's badminton player Lakshya Sen who was due to play here after Denmark Open conducted in the first week of October was pulled out. 

Badminton Players withdraw from SaarLorLux Open due to visa issues

Lakshya Sen undertook 15 days training at Peter Gade Academy post Denmark open. Sen, his coach and physio arrived in Saarbrucken on October 25 for the tournament and were advised to travel to Frankfurt for COVID testing. On October 27 the reports were received and it shows negative for the Player and the physio but is positive for the coach. The infection is asymptomatic.

In order to avoid any confusion and the fear, Lakshya Sen has withdrawn from the event and informed the same to the organizers. Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) funded the players participation in this tournament, the Denmark Open and 15 days training at Peter Gade Academy. The player and the coach requested another test so as top determine their return to India. Due to VISA issues 4 players from Padukone Badminton academy were withdrawn from the event, Sen gets included in the list.
