Lakshya Sen wins fifth title of Bangladesh International Challenger

Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen defeated Malaysia's Leong Jun Hao in the men's singles final of Bangladesh International Challenger to claim his fifth title of the season. The 18-year-old defeated Hao with 22–20, 21–18 in straight games. He became the champion for the fifth time in the last 7 tournaments.

After this victory, Lakshya tweeted and said, 'I am happy with my fifth title here with a year-end victory in Bangladesh. Hope to continue with good form next year too. The targets were very keen about this match."

Among other Indians, in the women's doubles, Manisha K and Rituparna Panda were beaten by a 20-22 19-21 defeat to the Malaysian pair of top seed Tan Parle Kung Lee and Tinah Muralitharan as runners-up. In the men's doubles, MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila were also defeated. They faced a 19–21, 16–21 defeat to the fourth seeded Malaysian pair of Yi Jun Chang and Kei Wun Ti in the title match in the men's singles final of the Bangladesh international challenger.
