Lalu Yadav convicted in another fodder scam case, court pronounces verdict

Ranchi: A CBI court has convicted RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Doranda Treasury case of Jharkhand's infamous fodder scam. In this case, 75 persons, including Lalu Yadav, have been declared criminals, while 24 criminals have been released.

Lalu had reached Ranchi 24 hours ago for the hearing of the incident. He is staying in the statehouse in Ranchi. Lalu Prasad Yadav was made accused of a total of 5 cases of fodder scams in Jharkhand. In four cases, the decision has already been arrived at and in all these cases, the court had sentenced them as criminals.

Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to seven years each in two separate cases of Chaibasa treasury, while in the case of illegal withdrawal from Dumka treasury, five years in the case of illegal withdrawal from Dumka treasury and four years each in the case of illegal withdrawal from Deoghar treasury. In all four cases, Lalu Yadav has completed 50 per cent of the sentence while serving in jail.
