Lalu Yadav's condition critical, PM calls and asks his well being

Patna: The condition of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was admitted to Paras Hospital in Bihar's capital Patna, is critical. Preparations are being made to bring them to Delhi by air ambulance. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Lalu Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav over the phone and took stock of his health. Tejashwi has also made an emotional appeal to the people of Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today visited Paras Hospital to take stock of the movement of the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief.

RJD chief Yadav had fallen into Rabri Devi's official residence in Patna on Sunday. This had broken his shoulder bone. He also suffered serious injuries in other parts of the body. They were already struggling with many diseases. He was admitted to the ICU of Paras Hospital in Patna after his condition worsened in the wee hours of Monday. Nitish Kumar visited the hospital and enquired about Lalu Yadav's health from RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and doctors.

According to the information received, the former chief minister's lungs have been flooded with water. As his condition is critical, preparations are being made to take him to Delhi by air ambulance. The RJD chief will be taken to Delhi AIIMS by air ambulance this afternoon for better treatment. The RJD chief's condition is said to be stable. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of several doctors. A senior RASHTRIYA Janata Dal leader said that a whole team of specialist doctors is monitoring him. RJD state spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan said that the PM spoke to Tejashwi Yadav and enquired about the RJD supremo's health. The PM wished the RJD chief a speedy recovery.
