Automobili Lamborghini celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Diablo supercar this year. Lamborghini is known for making iconic vehicles like Miura SV, Countach, and more. The Diablo is among the most iconic models in the history of super sports cars.

The Diablo was first launched in January 1990 and has made its way to the hall of fame as one of the best sports cars ever made. Lamborghini started working on Diablo in 1985 when it was christened Project 132. Lamborghini Diablo was designed by Marcello Gandini and was later revised by Chrysler's design center. The result turned out was a beautiful machine with clean and aggressive lines, a mass-forward stance, and an elongated tail section with deep vents. However, some of its features that made Diablo so popular were under its hood. It was driven by a 5.7-liter, 12-cylinder engine that made 478 bhp and 580 Nm of peak torque. The powerplant was mounted in a rear longitudinal position and features four overhead camshafts and a multi-point electronic injection system. Despite being an outright sports car, Lamborghini Diablo was a well-appointed car. The popularity of Diablo encouraged the carmaker to develop several iterations of the model.

In 1993, Lamborghini introduced Diablo VT, which was the first Lamborghini Granturismo to be equipped with a four-wheel-drive system. The company introduced a more powerful edition Diablo SE30 series to celebrate Lamborghini's 30th anniversary.
