The fifth generation Range Rover SUV has been unveiled by Jaguar Land Rover, and it includes a new appearance, new engine options, and a slew of new technologies and amenities.

Land Rover has also revealed that the 2022 Range Rover will have a distinct all-electric variant in the next two years, based on the carmaker's new MLA Flex platform. It will round out a selection that currently includes two wheelbase versions, five engine options, and seating capacity ranging from four to seven people.

"The New Range Rover is a spectacular representation of our vision to deliver the world's most desirable premium automobiles for the most discriminating of customers," says Land Rover. It's the next chapter in Range Rover's 50-year history of pioneering innovation," said Thierry Bollore, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover.

The 2022 Range Rover has a length of almost 5 metres, which increases to 5.25 metres in the long wheelbase version, a width of 2.20 metres, a height of 1.87 metres, and a wheelbase of over 3 metres, which increases to 3.19 metres in the long wheelbase version. It comes in three trim levels: SE, HSE, and Autobiography.

The iconic Range Rover's design has changed dramatically in its fifth generation. It is distinguished by three lines that may be traced back over five generations. New grille aesthetics and digital LED headlamps with DRLs are added to the front.

Range Rove is the first Land Rover SUV to include Power Assisted Doors with danger recognition and anti-pinch functionality. All four doors are powered, and they may be operated from within using the Pivi Pro infotainment screen. The new Range Rover's interior has also undergone considerable improvements to provide all of today's creature comforts. A 13.7-inch digital driver display is included, as well as a new 13.1-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system with the newest Pivi Pro software. It's wirelessly compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Also new are the steering wheel and console, which have completely digital temperature controls.
A 11.4-inch touchscreen is positioned at the back of the front seats for the rear passengers. The Meridian Signature 3D surround sound system has a massive 1,600 W and 35 loudspeakers.

The boot of the new Range Rover has also been completely revised, which now features a loading floor that can also be transformed into a sort of luxurious location for camping, complete with a cushion, backrest and speakers.
