Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said in a statement on Sunday that "his government has freed land worth about Rs 1,000 crore from the occupation of the mafia so far". In fact, while addressing the General Assembly at the ground at Phulbagh on Sunday, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, ''We are taking strict action against the mafia in the state. In the entire state (from March last year till now), land worth about 1000 crores has been freed from the occupation of the mafia.'' Apart from this, he also said that this action will be going on continuously SADC because people will not be able to forcibly occupy government land.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also clarified that ''BJP or Congress workers against mafia are not seen.'' At the same time, he also responded to senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh. He said, 'Digvijay Singh does not have credibility and the allegations have no merit.' At present, the action is being taken against the mafia in the entire state. Barring one or two incidents, the government and administration are taking immediate action.

Further addressing the General Assembly, Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, 'Society's cooperation will be taken in the drug de-addiction campaign. There will be a day after this campaign when the liquor will stop on its own. 5,000 crore will be spent in five years on the development of Gwalior through modern technology.' Apart from this, he also said that 'The historical and ancient fair of Gwalior, which has been in operation for 105 years, is going to start from February 15. There will be a 50 percent rebate in the registration fee for vehicles purchased at this fair.'
