Telangana: Nilgiri Mountain Rail (NMR) services were disrupted after landslides on a large rock rail road near Hill Grove station in Udhag mandal on Saturday. About 150 passengers had to travel more in buses. These 150 passengers had to walk five kilometers to climb the bus. The heritage NMR train left at about two o'clock from here and crossed the Hill Grove station at five o'clock from the train, railway sources said. Meanwhile, 3 hours of rail services were damaged due to landslides.

The sources said that the passengers were asked to get off the train as it was not possible to remove the stones from the railroad immediately. According to the information, the railway sent three buses for trapped passengers, but passengers had to walk five kilometres to reach the buses. They had to go to The Mettupalayam. The debris removal work has begun and the train services were cancelled on Sunday, sources said.
