Why Lara Dutta found her role in 'Azhar' challenging ?

Miss Universe 2000 and bollywood actress Lara Dutta will be seen playing a no-nonsense lawyer in the upcoming sports -biopic 'Azhar' and according to lara,her role in the film is challenging.

Lara is playing a role of public prosecutor Meera,in the next biopic of director Tony D'Souza,which is based on the life of former Indian International cricketer “ Mohammad Azharuddin”

The actress last seen in ‘fitoor’ said in her statement, "It's a challenging role and I had fun playing it because its a totally fictional character but integral to the narrative,"

Dutta will be seen as the nemesis of Azharuddin in the movie as she fights the former Indian cricketer trying to prove that he's guilty of match fixing.

Tony D'Souza said, "She went through all the legal documents pertaining to the case. We also had regular reading sessions. She really worked very hard for the role."

‘Azhar’ is all set to hit the cinema hall on May 13 which is produced  by Ekta Kapoor.
